Well it sure does seem more likely than not. The Duo opted not to accompany Luny and the other artists present to the podium to accept an award for Noche de Entierro. Yes, millions of Reggaeton Fans noticed this and thus the rumors started to fly. Seems like the problem goes back to them becoming buddy buddy with Don Omar. Every since they hooked up with Don, they have noticeably and many times openly shunned Luny. It amazes me how many times Luny has hooked the duo up, yet still the Mas Flow mogul gets the cold shoulder. It seems to be a case of petty jealousy. Artists have done the same to Daddy Yankee. Although King Daddy has paved the way for Reggaeton to grow in the states, in the past artists have openly shown and stated how they despise him. Seems in Reggaeton, the more you succeed the more haterz pop up.
No matter how much artist like Yankee and producers like Luny assist the others by connecting them to a world outside of Puerto Rico; once the individual artist things he has a foot into the door of success, the I don’t need you attitude comes forth. I can attest that both Yankee and Luny is nicer and more down to earth than any of his fans know. Luny definitely has a heart of gold, and if you do your homework, you can see all the ways he has help his friend, or those who he thought were his friends. If I can recall correctly, he hooked Wisin and Yandel up with R-Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, and Paris Hilton, as well as a few more people that slip my mind. They also Recorded their hit albums, Los Vaqueros and Pal Mundo in his studio. I will let all that speak for itself.
So the answer is YES, something is going on. Reggaeton artists need to stop burning their bridges, and then trying to kiss and make up down the road. It simply makes them look stupid and childish in the end. Do I hate Wisin and Yandel, NO! They are two of my favorite artists… but this craziness needs to stop somewhere.
