I was at the Invasion CD release party and who did I run into? Mr Echo himslef! Of course my sexy radar goes bazurk because I love me some Puerto Rican men! Later on I will be doin an interview with him for www.reggaetonline.net, the best source of reggaeton information! He let me know that he will be doing projects with Chris Brown and Keke Palmer from Akeelah and the Bee and a few more Hip-hoppers, but I forget who cause I was payin more attention to his sexyness! WOOO LORD! Anyway you heard it from me first!~~~Kisses!
Word on the streets and that Ricky Martin took Luny on a boyz night out in Miami. While at a club, who did they happen to run into? Ya boyz Jay -Z and Pharrell! This may have been the first real time Luny met and talked to the Hip-hop producer. Once Pharell and Luny started talking, Pharrell is made the comment that he’s heard that they were working on a project together! With a laugh they both agreed that they should start planning and working on that project soon!
HMMmmm I smell a Pharrell-Luny Tunes colabo coming soon!

This duo is back, and better than ever. With their hit song Carita De “Angel from Dj Echo’s” Invasion, they are telling their fans they are here to stay. At the Invasion CD release party, they performed and had the crowd in a frenzie. Yes Khriz looked like king pimp, and boy does he know how to make the women swoon. If it wasnt for his lovely wife Ashley, I would have definitely tried to holla! HOLLA KHRIZ! Angel looked sexy too. What is a girl to do in a world full of sexy Puerto Rican reggaeton artists like these guys?
I recently had a chance to meet Divino. He is one of my favorite artists and has been in the Reggaeton game longer than most. As I spoke to him , I thought to myself he looks so much younger than he does in his videos. Then it dawned on me that he had lost weight!. He was so nice and very personable. I found it easy to hold a conversation with him. He offered up weight loss advise and information about his health, his opinion of the Reggaeton industry today, and spoke about his family.
He had to lose weight due to a few health issues that popped up in early 2006. He is very happy that he has made a change for the better. His wife, who recently gave birth was also present, and she looked stunning herself.
Divino is one artists who is well known by most hard core Reggaeton fans. Those who are not aware of his existence outside of Puerto Rico as a Reggaeton artists need only listen to a few songs to know he has great talent. Check out some of his songs on” MVP Grand Slam” or on Khriz and Angels “Los MVPs” album in the song ‘De Caseria’.
Well it sure does seem more likely than not. The Duo opted not to accompany Luny and the other artists present to the podium to accept an award for Noche de Entierro. Yes, millions of Reggaeton Fans noticed this and thus the rumors started to fly. Seems like the problem goes back to them becoming buddy buddy with Don Omar. Every since they hooked up with Don, they have noticeably and many times openly shunned Luny. It amazes me how many times Luny has hooked the duo up, yet still the Mas Flow mogul gets the cold shoulder. It seems to be a case of petty jealousy. Artists have done the same to Daddy Yankee. Although King Daddy has paved the way for Reggaeton to grow in the states, in the past artists have openly shown and stated how they despise him. Seems in Reggaeton, the more you succeed the more haterz pop up.
No matter how much artist like Yankee and producers like Luny assist the others by connecting them to a world outside of Puerto Rico; once the individual artist things he has a foot into the door of success, the I don’t need you attitude comes forth. I can attest that both Yankee and Luny is nicer and more down to earth than any of his fans know. Luny definitely has a heart of gold, and if you do your homework, you can see all the ways he has help his friend, or those who he thought were his friends. If I can recall correctly, he hooked Wisin and Yandel up with R-Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, and Paris Hilton, as well as a few more people that slip my mind. They also Recorded their hit albums, Los Vaqueros and Pal Mundo in his studio. I will let all that speak for itself.
So the answer is YES, something is going on. Reggaeton artists need to stop burning their bridges, and then trying to kiss and make up down the road. It simply makes them look stupid and childish in the end. Do I hate Wisin and Yandel, NO! They are two of my favorite artists… but this craziness needs to stop somewhere.
This morning I am listening a kinda old song by Kartier from an album called El Bachaton del Reggaeton. The song is called “La Falda” and I like it because it sounds a little different than most reggaeton-bachata mixes and has a really nice beat that makes you wanna run to a club and dance to it. You can find the lyrics to this song here: http://www.reggaetonline.net/kartier_lyrics-2 .
Kartier is one of those reggaeton artists who goes easily undiscovered by those who only pay attention to main stream artists like Daddy Yankee, Don Omar or Rakim and Ken Y. I am here to bring awareness to artist that are not quite what we would call NEW to this genre. These artists are well established in Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries.
Quinee Butler Reggaetonline.net - April 01, 2005 - Who is Boy Wonder?
Manuel Alejandro “Boy Wonder” Ruiz, Executive Producer of Chosen Few El Documental, is working hard to make sure that music lovers all over the United States have a chance to really understand what reggaetón is all about. Now in his mid 20’s, the single parent, born and raised in New York, has accomplished in 6 years what can take many a lifetime to achieve. When asked where he got his name from his response was “I gave that name to myself. I am always wondering about my next move. My head band is like Batman’s utility belt. Batman always has utility belt. When I go to the studio I always have on my utility belt on, and for me that’s my head band, it helps me think.” He describes himself as ambitious and self-motivated, and has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the Latin music industry.
